Hi, I’m Lorraine Burke, Realtor and Transaction Coordinator at Donna & Team New Bern.
Coordinating success, one transaction at a time — that’s my mission every day. Since joining the team in 2021, I’ve used my background as a licensed real estate agent (since 2018) to bring order, clarity, and a calming presence to every step of the closing process. Behind the scenes, I work to ensure everything flows smoothly, from contracts to keys.
My journey to North Carolina began in 2016 when I moved all the way from southern Oregon to be closer to my only granddaughter at the time. It was a big transition, but I’ve truly grown to love life here — and today, I’m proud to call New Bern my home.
What makes this town so special to me is its unique blend of history, community, and natural beauty. I love walking through downtown, taking in the historic architecture, and soaking up the local culture. There's always something happening — whether it’s a festival, a waterfront event, or a quiet moment in one of the many scenic spots around town. And with its lower cost of living and welcoming vibe, New Bern is the kind of place where people of all stages of life can thrive.
In my role as Transaction Coordinator, I’m the central hub between clients, agents, attorneys, and title companies. I prepare all the necessary closing documents, track every detail, and ensure timelines stay on course — so that each client’s experience is seamless, efficient, and stress-free. My goal is always to provide clarity, communication, and confidence to everyone I support.
Before real estate, I had a very different career — I owned and directed a Taekwondo school for 18 years while raising six children. I’ve also worked in banking, serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager in Oregon for over a decade. These experiences helped shape my discipline, leadership, and deep understanding of client service.
These days, when I’m not managing transactions, you’ll likely find me spending time with my two incredible AKC German Shepherds, cheering on my favorite baseball or football teams, or enjoying the adrenaline rush of drag strip racing — my newest weekend obsession!
