Hi, I'm Debbie Gent, Your concierge at Donna & Team New Bern.
While I’ve been officially with the team for two years, my connection to this incredible community runs much deeper — over 23 years, thanks to family ties that go back generations. In fact, my mother was born in New Bern, and I’ve spent more than 40 years living in the area myself. New Bern is home in every sense of the word.
What I love most about living and working here is the charming downtown, the friendly faces (especially fellow dog lovers!), and the beautiful, historic architecture that tells our town's story. There’s something special about New Bern's motto — “where everything comes together.” To me, it speaks not only to the rivers that meet here but also to the sense of community, warmth, and connection among the people.
Being part of Donna & Team New Bern is more than a job — it's a joy. I truly love welcoming newcomers and helping them discover all the reasons this town is such a gem. Whether someone’s looking for a vibrant lifestyle, a peaceful retreat, or something in between, I believe New Bern offers something for everyone.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me cooking for the people I love, pairing good food with the perfect wine, spending time with my dogs, or enjoying life on the water — boating, fishing, or exploring somewhere new.
