I have lived in New Bern for 25 years! I enjoy the diversity of people, the pace of life and all the places in and around this charming southern town. It is definitely my home and my paradise. I came to New Bern and fell into the pace of Eastern North Carolina.
I live in the Historic District of New Bern because I want to be a part of history! How fortunate to have a small progressive city with two rivers from which to fish, boat and play. My family truly enjoys life on the water. You should find a comfortable seat on a boat whether it is a powerboat or a sailboat and let the adventures begin.
Thus the phrase "work hard play hard" is New Bern! There are plenty of activities in New Bern. I highly recommend involvement in the rich history and preservation of our colonial capital, or in various organizations or attending the numerous events. The calendar is always full!
